AMANDA & ASH | McLAREN VALE WEDDING

McLaren Vale Wedding Photographers

Amanda and Ash’s  story is pretty amazing and their story was hand written on their aisle runner for everyone to read and enjoy. So here it is …

ONCE UPON A TIME…

A boy walked into a room. That’s a pretty girl,” he thought. “Damn Jason for vanishing off-site and leaving me to interview this random,” she thought.

And so they became co-workers… In the din of the staff room at Friday Happy Hour, she said “can you pass that wine bottle, please,” and instead he got her a glass and poured it for her.

And so they became wine buddies…

When he seceded his office as its own country. She declared a wine embargo. He spent hours creating an authentic looing application to re-enter Australia that me her laugh until her sides ached.

And so they became friends…

After his daily coffee run, he said “there were macarons!  I didn’t know which flavour to get you so I got one of everything.” She asked him how he knew trying every flavour of macaron in a shop was on her bucket list.

And do they began flirting…

She introduced him to her favourite Indian restaurant, the delights of frozen yogurt during a Glenelg sunset, and laughed at his Christmas tree of baubles taped to a wine bottle. He took a drink every time a place in Alias came up he hadn’t been to… for all 5 seasons.

And so they began dating…

They embraced awkward modern relationships. “I feel like we’re a couple.” “We’re definitely a couple.” “When is our anniversary?” “I don’t know. We’ll have to choose a date.”

And so they became official…

Before she left for Europe, he told her he love postcards. And so she sent him one from every place she went. She posted home her clothes to stuff her bag with gifts for him, but he loved the postcards best.

And so their 2 month relationship survived months apart…

He whisked her away to the Barossa when she returned. She won croquet and dinosaur mini-golf. He won golf, despite the tree magnets in his balls.  They began a “keeping” wine collection, labelled with special events.

And so they began a love of travel together…

“New home, new home, new home.” He sang. He picked her unripe apricots from their backyard and built an upgraded Christmas tree from tinsel and coat hangers. She divided the closed space in a 3:1 ratio.

And so they moved in together…

After Killing a herb garden, they kept Ruby the rhubarb and Lemmy the lemon tree alive and said next would be a puppy. They created a huge date list and took turns planning date night. They ate pancakes every Sunday.

And so they became Ashmanda…

Despite the wind running his hot air balloon plans, he got down on one knew at langmeil Winery during a Barossa getaway and swore he would take her on all the adventures. She only cried a little.

And so they became engaged…

“Did you know? We own this. And this. And this,” he said, pointing at everything. They painted walls, ate brunch in their outdoor entertaining area, put the clothes in a real walk-in closet, and baked bread in an extra-wide oven.

And do they bought a house…

She wrote him a story of moments and memories, of love and laughter of adventures and happiness. He waited at the archway for her to walk across them in her white dress and promise to make them a last a lifetime.

And so they…
